EOS Surfaces EOS Surfaces
The original solid solid surface

Leading the Way
Eos, the original 3cm solid surface, created by fabricators for fabricators, continues to pioneer innovative new ways to market for progressive fabricators.

Evolving beyond the original core fabrication speed and efficiency benefits, fabricators across the country are discovering that Eos profitably bridges the gap between laminate and solid surface, for a variety of residential and commercial projects.

Five Regional Distribution Centers
The national growth of Eos is now supported by five regional distribution centers, located in Los Angeles, California, Manchester, New Hampshire (opening soon), South Central Ohio, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Portsmouth, Virginia.

All facilities sell individual sheets, directly to fabricators, with immediately available inventory and same-day shipping.

The company's original, direct container sales has been enhanced and remains available for fabricators choosing to deal in quantity and the best possible pricing.

National Advertising
Building Eos brand awareness and support for the company's fabricator network has hit high gear with a national campaign targeting remodeling contractors, builders and kitchen/bath showrooms.
Highly visible, two-sided insert ads recently made their debut in multiple issues of national trade magazines, sharing the Eos story with leading decision makers and bringing them into contact with Eos fabricators.

Support Materials
Additional fabricator support materials include a product sample box, care and maintenance kit, training and fabrication videos, and downloadable images for marketing materials. Two new colors were introduced this year.

The Eos sales team has also expanded, creating a national presence of experienced solid surfacing professionals who speak your language and understand your business.

Hanwha Surfaces
Hanex USA

For years, fabricators have searched for the ultimate surface: a quartz product that is smooth and graceful to the touch, yet surprisingly durable. Luxurious, but easy to install. Boasting the look of natural stone, yet with twice the strength and resilience of granite.

With HanStone, the search is finally over.

As the top-of-the-line offering from industry leader Hanwha Surfaces, HanStone has been in spectacular demand since its U.S. launch in 2004.
It's easy to see why. Available in more than 28 elegant colors and patterns, HanStone is one of the strongest and most durable surface materials on the market, without sacrificing style.

"80% of my customers who are looking for engineered stone are asking for HanStone," said Gus Blume, Jr., of Blume's Solid Surface. "It's one of the nicest and cleanest products out there. The patterns throughout the sheets are very consistent."

The versatility and elegance of quartz have made it the hot new trend in residential and commercial applications, and HanStone's unique composition makes it a popular choice. It's ideal for kitchens, baths, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and more.

To produce HanStone, Hanwha begins with the natural beauty and durability of quartz, then uses advanced technology to create dramatic colors and patterns with greater strength and resilience.
Unlike some surface companies, Hanwha manufactures its HanStone product exclusively in its own plant, so the company can maintain strict quality control. And despite its already legendary performance, Hanwha's engineers continuously improve HanStone's quality. The results are impressive.

Since natural quartz is one of nature's hardest surfaces, it's frequently chosen for its resistance to scratching, chipping or other damage. HanStone's composite makes it even stronger. The non-porous, sanitary surface maintains a permanent sheen, so sealing, conditioning and polishing are never needed. It's extremely resistant to stains, heat, and bacteria, and simple to clean.

So it comes as no surprise that HanStone comes with a 10-year transferable warranty.

But how does it look? Fabricators will tell you that HanStone is a style pioneer, with its nature-inspired colors and unique patterns. The product has become such a trendsetter, in fact, that many fabricators have taken notice of Hanwha's 100% acrylic solid surface – Hanex.

Hanex offers New Level of Beauty, Simplicity and Durability

Throughout the years, solid surfaces have established themselves as an attractive, cost-effective, and easily installable product, and no one has done this better than Hanex. Hanex 100% Acrylic Solid Surface has the attributes to make serious fabricators offer solid surfaces for all their commercial and residential projects.

Manufactured by Hanwha, Hanex opens up a new world of possibilities for a wide spectrum of applications.

With its breakthrough stain-, impact-, and heat-resistance, and more than 45 colors and patterns – including new selections like Dijon Beige, Hazelnut, and Desert Castle – Hanex is ideal not just for residential kitchens and bathrooms, but commercial applications such as hospitals, labs, restaurants, hotels…even boat and RV manufacturing.

Designed with these high-use applications in mind, Hanex products are built to last. Hanwha's exclusive manufacturing process uses high-tech equipment and materials, so Hanex's next-generation surfaces are meticulously crafted to withstand even the most rigorous treatment.

They're easy to care for, too. The surface is non-porous and NSF Certified, so clean-up is a breeze. With periodic maintenance – just a quick wipe down with a damp cloth – Hanex maintains its original beauty for years. Remarkably, every Hanex product carries a 15-year warranty, backed by the most reputable customer service in the industry. Knowledgeable service professionals and technicians are just a phone call away.

As Hanex becomes ever more popular, the image of solid surfaces is enjoying a revolution – as much as the solid surfaces are themselves.

Hanwha has been a leading name in providing innovative products and has been an established company since 1952. The company is celebrated for its excellent customer service, and its HanStone Quartz Surface and Hanex 100% Acrylic Solid Surface are available nationwide through the company's expanding distribution network.

ISSFA logo International Solid Surface Fabricators Association
ISSFA

Founded in February of 1997, the International Solid Surface Fabricators
Association (ISSFA) is a professional trade association established to further the personal and professional interests of the solid surface fabricator.

ISSFA fabricators are considered the best in the business. To become members, fabricators must agree to uphold the ISSFA Fabricator Code of Ethics, provide a copy of their certificate of insurance, and proof of fabricating solid surface for a minimum of two years.

ISSFA associate members include distributors, manufacturers and affiliated professionals that provide tools, machinery, supplies and services to the solid surface industry; and allied industry professionals such as educators, consultants, and professional service providers.

ISSFA membership pays off in numerous ways. Some are educational, some financial, and others are priceless returns that come in the form of lifelong friendships, mentor relationships and business development lessons.

In 2007, ISSFA will include quartz in its mission statement: "ISSFA exists to serve the interests of the solid surface and quartz fabricator.

Fabricators will find "how to" business integration strategies and tactics, training programs, and technical information coming from ISSFA. Our intention is to give you the information you need to know to make good business development decisions.

We invite you to visit www.issfa.org to experience the power of the solid surface and quartz industry's only professional trade association. For more information, please call us at (877) GO-ISSFA! (877-464-7732)

LG Hi-Macs logo
LG Volcanics logo
LG Viatera

LG Solid Source
Peoria, Arizona – Now more that ever, the spotlight is really shining on LG HI-MACS solid surfacing countertops. Technology is a big reason. While LG HI-MACS designers work overtime to make certain the company is offering today's most in-demand colors and patterns, technology is becoming a very important driving force. The engineers at LG HI-MACS are going the extra mile to make sure that all of the company's products exceed industry standard for durability and workability. Viatera, LG's relatively new line of manufactured stone surfacing is an out standing example. All of the Viatera surfaces are contemporary and exceptionally striking in appearance. In fact, the product is every bit as impressive as all-natural stone surfacing. But the big plus is Viatera's extraordinary durability. Viatera resists scuffing, blemishes from heat and chemical spills, plus is it very easy to clean. The surface's original luster can be restored in a matter of a few minutes. That means Viatera will look better longer than all-natural stone.

Another big reason for LG HI-MACS' rapid rise in the marketplace is the company's industry-leading transferable 15-year warranty. While just about everything in a typical kitchen will have to be replaced over a 15 year period, LG HI-MACS countertops will still be standing.

Versatility is the key to covering the bases. LG HI-MACS products excel in this area. In fact, users have a choice of three outstanding product lines: LG HI-MACS, LG Volcanics and LG Viatera. Each adds a unique stamp to virtually any type of installation.

For more information about LG HI-MACS, LG Volcanics or LG Viatera, call 866.LGHIMACS or go online at www.lgcountertops.com

LG HI-MACS, the acrylic solid surface division of the leading Korean chemical company LG Chem, manufactures scratch and stain resistant solid surfaces with thermo-formable qualities that allow it to be shaped and inlaid to create a variety of edge treatments. LG HI-MACS solid surface is available to kitchen and bath dealers and designers through a nationwide network of certified fabricators and distributors. Consumers can find LG HI-MACS at any Lowe's retailer across the country.

NEMI products NEMI
NEMI strives to manufacture the most user friendly products for CNC machines. NEMI has been manufacturing digitizers, tool setters, vacuum pods, vacuum tables and software for many years. Our commitment to quality products has helped our users out-perform their old systems continually. We take pride in the products we make here in Minnesota and will continue to add new products based on our customer needs for increased production.

NEMI, offers the NEMI DigiCoder, a 2 or 3 axis digitizer for reverse engineering parts, patterns or templates without point to point digitizing. The system, used with a PC, traces parts, patterns or templates with a probe and automatically generates the geometry for that form. The algorithms, with generate the geometry, reflect true lines and arcs.

The digitizer's software features are easy because of, in part, the status bar indicating the X and Y location of the probe and the currently active command. Graphic display areas show what has been digitized and where the probe is currently located. After digitizing a part, the software will automatically reduce data into lines and arcs, ready to be imported into a CAD/CAM system. For simpler parts it will also output the G-Code to produce the part on a CNC machine without programming in CAM sofrtware. Using the EXCLUSIVE trace command, all an operator has to do is trace around the part, pattern or template with the probe. The software algorithms will calculate the geometry into lines and arcs. Using the "Snap Line" command the operator can digitize templates that are not square in the corner. First the operator picks two points in the Y-Axis and two points in the X-axis on the template and the software automatically makes the corner square.

Samsung surfaces

Samsung
Headquartered in Seoul, Korea, Samsung is a world-class leader in technology. Samsung participates in five business areas: electronics, machinery, chemicals, finance and trading and services. Staron is a part of Samsung's chemical division and is manufactured by Samsung's parent company, Cheil Industries, Inc. Samsung Chemical USA, Inc. is located in La Mirada, California.

Staron now offers three distinct surfacing solutions: high performance Staron Solid Surfaces, luxurious Staron Quartz and the all-new Staron Tempest, which combines the benefit of solid surfaces with a beautiful translucent aesthetic.

High-performance Staron Solid Surfaces have been available throughout North America since 1999. As a multipurpose surface, Staron is commonly used for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. Its non-porous characteristics also make it an ideal surface option in commercial settings, such as the healthcare and hospitality industries. Bacteria, molds and moisture cannot penetrate the surface, making it one of few materials approved for use in healthcare and food service. With more than 60 colors available, Staron Solid Surfaces complement a variety of design styles in residential and commercial settings. Samsung continues to introduce new colors annually, making sure to offer the latest designs and color palettes. Solid surface colors are grouped into seven categories – Solid, Sanded, Aspen, Pebble, Talus, Breccia and Quarry, which vary in particulate size.

Staron Quartz was introduced in 2006. The luxury quartz collection is composed of more than 90% naturally mined quartz crystals and resembles the look of natural stone, but with added benefits, including color and pattern consistency and a nonporous nature. Unlike stone, Staron Quartz does not require routine sealing; staining and discoloration are never an issue. Staron Quartz is currently available in 14 colors ranging from rich blacks and browns to a deep midnight blue.

Staron Tempest, set to launch in early 2007, offers a new look in the solid surface industry. Large translucent particulates create depth and a unique aesthetic sure to grab-attention. Tempest incorporates the nonporous and seamless properties of Staron surfaces, perfect for commercial or residential applications. Ten Tempest colors will be introduced at the International Builders Show in February ‘07.

Water Treatment Technologies Water Treatment technologies
The EnviroSystem Produces Recycled Crystal Clear Water – GUARANTEED!

Can Recycled Water be Crystal Clear?
Can you really get Crystal Clear Recycled Water – Yes! The patented EnviroSystem manufactured by Water Treatment Technologies guarantees the production of crystal clear water. It is the original filtration and recycling system designed specifically for the stone industry and its unique needs.

The quality of water produced by the EnviroSystem is filtered to less than 2 microns; but microns should not be the only standard by which a filtration system's water is measured. Microns can be misleading, for example - five micron water can be cloudy and have suspended particulate large enough to cause scratching.

If the recycled water that you are producing is not crystal clear, then particulate is present!. And, cloudy water with particulate can scratch. The best way to test for crystal clear water is to look into a large container of the recycled water (over 1,000 gallons) and if you can see all the way from the top of the holding tank to the bottom of the tank – then you know the water is crystal clear and that it is safe for all fabrication applications.

100% Recycling Means No Discharge
The EnviroSystem is a closed loop-system, therefore no industrial discharge permitting is required with this system. Nothing goes down the drain, out the door or into a septic system. And the EnviroSystem produces recycled water that is safe for all your fabrication equipment.

With over 300 systems installed across the United States and Canada – why settle for less? Come to the source, contact Water Treatment Technologies today to learn how this system can work for you.

Braxton-Bragg Corp. Braxton-Bragg Corporation
Knoxville, TN – The MBS 3000-ce has long been a constant among the stone industry's most reliable bridge saws. In 2006, the Italian manufacturer Achilli celebrated their 55th year. Since the beginning, Achilli has strived to manufacture dependable equipment that meets or exceeds the customer's needs, including the incorporation of new designs on the saws.

Braxton-Bragg is proud to present two new optional features that can be included with the purchase of a new Achilli MBS 3000-ce or ABS 3500-ce. The first feature includes a front loading hydraulic-powered tilt table that measures a full 8 feet-4 inches across and tilts to an 80° angle for easy loading and unloading, also incorporating 36 fixed rollers to position the slab on the work table surface. This new feature provides the practicality of a traditional hydraulic tilt table found on typical bridge saws, but at a fraction of the cost.

The second feature is a new wireless pendant control that can be purchased as an option on both the Achilli MBS and ABS saws. The wireless pendant control enables the fabricator to position the cutting head at a closer vantage point, allowing for more accurate cuts without the cumbersome electrical cord. As a safety feature, the machine can be stopped from this control.

Laser Products Industries Laser Products Industries
The LT-55 Precision Laser Templator stands above all other templating systems on the market. It is unmatched in quality and there is not one that can come anywhere close in value for the price. After countless software upgrades and hardware advances since 2004, the LT-55 is the premiere templating systems. The LT-55 Precision Laser Templator sets a new standard with LASER TEMPLATING.

Mechanical templating systems use heavy, bulky and awkward units that take forever to get into the house let alone templating and then getting it back out the door. Photographic systems take as long if not longer to place all the stickers you need in order for their software to correctly 3-Dimensionally render the work area.

With the LT-55 Precision Laser Templator you can walk into a house, set up the unit, template a countertop and leave within 10 minutes. Not only is it extremely quick and simple, it also provides field measurements in .dxf format with multi-color and multi-plane files. Now you can check your template at the house to verify it is correct instead of finding out back at the shop you made a mistake. Eliminate having to go back to your customer's house and tell them that you need to do it again. No other templating system on the market allows you to do as many things with one unit.

Specialtytools.com Specialtytools.com
Specialtytools.com has been servicing fabricators since 1986. Their goal has been to educate customers on new tools and techniques in the industry. To further that educational process, the company has launched the first interactive Internet tool show allabouttoolslive.com. The show format is a lighthearted look at tools hosted by Specialtytools owner John Michaels and GM Ken Pfister. As you can see by the picture, the two add comedy to education with hopes of keeping the viewers amused. The show has aired 3 times and is proving to be a great success. A spin off program is scheduled to air in January called "Show Me the Tools". There viewers will be able to ask for one on one demos live via the Internet of the ever growing Specialtytools.com line. AATL.com airs Tuesday nights at 9pm EST.
